Accessibility Statement

We are committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to everyone, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those using assistive technologies. We strive to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard.

1. Our commitment

We believe every patient and visitor deserves equal access to health information and services. Our website is designed with accessibility in mind, particularly for the Medicare senior population we serve across Southern California.

We are committed to continuously improving the accessibility of our digital content and services in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act, and the California Unruh Civil Rights Act.

2. Conformance standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.

Our website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, meaning some content may not yet fully meet the standard. We are actively working to address known gaps.

3. Accessibility features

We have implemented several features to improve accessibility across our website. Our pages are structured with clear headings and landmarks to support screen reader navigation. Text is sized and spaced to support readability for seniors and low-vision users. Color contrast ratios are designed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA minimums. Images include alternative text descriptions, and our forms are labeled to work with assistive technologies.

Our site is designed to be usable with keyboard-only navigation and is compatible with commonly used screen readers including JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver.

4. Known limitations

While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our website may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria. These may include certain third-party tools or embedded content, older PDF documents, and some forms or portal pages. We are working to remediate these areas and prioritize fixes that most impact our patients.

If you encounter a barrier on any page, please contact us directly and we will provide the information or assistance you need through an alternative accessible format.

5. Requesting accessible content

If you need any content on our website in an alternative accessible format - such as large print, audio, or a different file format - please contact us and we will respond as quickly as possible, typically within 5 business days.

We also provide free auxiliary aids and services for individuals with disabilities in connection with our healthcare services. See our Nondiscrimination & Language Assistance page for full details.

6. Feedback & contact

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website. If you experience any difficulty accessing content, encounter a barrier, or would like to report an accessibility issue, please reach out to us. Your feedback helps us improve our efforts to serve patients.
